(More customer reviews)We live in Arkansas where the mosquitos can be quite ferocious. They don't bother me, but attack my wife like there's no tomorrow. We purchased this product with some reluntance, but wanted to try organic as we have a toddler that we did not want to potentially expose to pestisides.
Immediately after using, I noticed that the mosquito colony that was living under our deck had about disappeareded. My wife, who couldn't go outside to take the dog for a 'potty break' w/o getting bit 3 or 4 times immediately noticed a difference. They weren't completely gone, but it did seem to make a difference. The smell OUTSIDE was not nearly as powerful as I had anticipated, but I would highly recommend that when you are mixing your solution - to do so outside. I mixed my first batch in the kitchen sink and our kitchen smelled like garlic for a few days. It didn't bother me, but may be obnoxious to some.
So we were pleased customers. While a pesticide or fogging agent could be more effective, we feel better using this due to our child who plays a great deal in the back yard.

(More customer reviews)My dogs don't like to go out early in the morning or at dusk because the flies and mosquitoes are fierce in rural Florida.They didn't like the smell of the human grade Deet products, and I read in a dog magazine that I couldn't use products with Deet on my dogs.If I recall, it was something about prolonged use causing nerve damage.I found this wonderful spray and my Dad wanted a can.I couldn't remember where I purchased the product.I checked Amazon and of course they had the product, so I shipped him a can. He is delighted with the product.It keeps the insects off.

Needless to say, he recieved four mosquito bites in less than a minute, by the same mosquito! I don't think this works very well. I would suggest the BUG BANDS instead. You wear them around your wrist or ankle and they are DEET FREE as well. The bug bands completely protected my family on a recent camping trip from insect bites. None of us recived any and we wore the wrist bands constantly.

Viatek MK01G Mosquito Fast Trap Review

(More customer reviews)We live in the woods, I put on this device for 1 week, and it only trapped couple of moths, and maybe 10 mosquitoes. Couple of those escaped again, when I opened the trap basket. So I'm not sure what is the purpose of this, only maybe you could use it in the patio...not in the open backyard.

Stinger BB07 7 Watt Replacement Bulb For MK100 Review

(More customer reviews)I bought the Stinger MK-100 "Bug Killer" at Lows to try to control the mosquito population in our back yard.I found this item to be useless.I don't think it killed one insect all summer.To add to the problems with the unit the bulb failed after 2 weeks of use.I contacted the Company Consumer Service and they sent me a replacement bulb which lasted 2 months and blew out.I called them again and got a recording that stated that the bulb was expected to last 1½ months!At $12 a pop this is outrageous!
So, since the thing doesn't work anyway and even the bulbs don't last, I will cut my losses and throw the thing out.
I would definitely NOT recommend this unit as it is a failure.
My next-door neighbor bought the Stinger UV40 and after returning 3 of them that didn't work he gave up too.
