(More customer reviews)we bought this last year with the replacement cartridges from home depot, we tried this from May-September with no luck, looks nice but no matter where we placed it in our 1/2 acre yard, the pouch was always empty. we'll try again this year since we still have cartridges left but to us it's a complete waste of the $99.00 plus extra cartridges that we spent.

(More customer reviews)I was hopeful for a non-chemical mosquito trap.And, with the success of this companies other products, I thought they might be onto something.Nope.Mosquitoes still completely control my back yard. All his thing seems to catch is a few moths and other random bugs.Ok.. there were some mosquitoes in there, but not many at all. But, the worst thing about this trap, is not it's lack of bug killing.. it's the lack of foresight by the designers.At some point, a large moth got caught in the fan blades and stalled it out.Who knows just how long the fan was stuck, but it burned out.After I cleaned out the moth and other bits, the fan refused to go.Ok.. no problem I though.I'm pretty handy with fixing things, and replacing a simple 80mm fan should be a snap right?WRONG!! There is NO way to remove the fan without destroying the whole unit.The bolts that hold the fan in place are run from the top down and then covered with non-removable electronic parts.Are you kidding me!!How could you not expect the fan to one day need replacing, and design it so it CAN be easily replaced!!!!Even if this thing managed to catch 2/3s of the mosquitoes in my yard, this fan fiasco is a show stopper.

(More customer reviews)I live in central NC.I currently have a mosquito magnet liberty plus in my 1 acre yard.I have had the magnet for 3-4 years.The magnet is very, very problematic.I was looking for something that was a lot cheaper to run and was easily self repairable vs the magnet.I wound up purchasing the Ultra with CO2 bottle from the manufactures web site.

I have only had the Ultra for 1-week.In two days, it had captured at least 5 times more mosquitoes/biting insects than my magnet has all month.I am using the magnet with Lurex, and the Ultra with co2, octenol and light. I'm using the wet-capture system.From past experience, I don't think using Octenol vs Lurex in my magnet would have improved the catch results.After the lurex runs out, I'll swap with octenol to give it a better magnet vs ultra comparison.However, I suspect the Ultra will just simply destroy the magnet in my tests.My magnet NEVER has seen this amount of biting insects captured, ever.

Only time will tell how well the Ultra performs, so I will update this review after a few months
