(More customer reviews)I bought the Stinger MK-100 "Bug Killer" at Lows to try to control the mosquito population in our back yard.I found this item to be useless.I don't think it killed one insect all summer.To add to the problems with the unit the bulb failed after 2 weeks of use.I contacted the Company Consumer Service and they sent me a replacement bulb which lasted 2 months and blew out.I called them again and got a recording that stated that the bulb was expected to last 1½ months!At $12 a pop this is outrageous!
So, since the thing doesn't work anyway and even the bulbs don't last, I will cut my losses and throw the thing out.
I would definitely NOT recommend this unit as it is a failure.
My next-door neighbor bought the Stinger UV40 and after returning 3 of them that didn't work he gave up too.
